Yep

Keep this up, you two. Your style is just so good.

TheArdor responds:

Thank you :D

The rising vocals could be done better. It felt a little harsh in my opinion. More gradual pitch automating or just a different style of build up would be more effective.

Other than that, you have a solid remix. The sound design is good enough and the composition of the drop is decent. There isn't much else to say really, XD.

"not bad sounds like dubstep" omg made my day XDDDDD.

You guys did this right. Keep it up, both of you.

Ravitex responds:

i know, right? thanks btw!

Make sure the vocals don't completely overpower the kick. You have the right idea making the vocals loud. The drop future bass chords are definitely on the right track. But you can make the sidechain/filters even more powerful in the mix!!!

The composition is so chill and well done otherwise. You are definitely improving. Keep it up!

Gravidi responds:

Thanks for your thoughts! I'm definitely learning more after each song I make. Sidechaining is still to come for me though, but I've started to get the hang of mixing, more or less. Just so you know, I love your new song fallen! Would you be up for a collab sometime in the near or distant future? No pressure.

This is extremely impressive.

Surpasses a lot of your previous works in quality and... fun :D

Another future styled track that just works.

Keep this up, Lockyn! Kind of feel bad about the situation with the labels though :/

All the best, m8.

Lockyn responds:

don't feel bad! thank you for the love :)

Not really feeling it from the kick coming in at the intro. The oriental parts are really well done, so cheers to that.

The drops are really weak and some sound frequencies are too high in my opinion, but practice in sound design and mixing should help you improve. Also, your kick and snare don't seem prominent enough. So many high frequencies that just cover the percussion. The kick should be loudest. A little more side-chain wouldn't hurt either.

Your transitions between segments could use some work, especially with buildups. Also not a big fan of the two crashes together one after the other in several parts. That's a small detail, but better tracks focus on as many details as possible without putting effects that don't necessarily improve the track's quality.

The good thing about this is that you have the oriental music down. I can tell that this is a 50 hour project. Really, just practice dubstep production and mixing more if you are interested in that kind of hybrid. This can become something really good later on.

Keep this up!

Tennon responds:

THX for the review tho... Actually I couldn't really hear very well the different frequencies because I don't have a jolly good headphone set. Eventually I'll get myself one :) And I know, the build up and the drop are my weak points in music...

Btw, two crashes together is actually commonly heard in chinese traditional music so yeah..,

Keep experimenting behind the scenes, dude. I know you can add more ideas later on. Your songs always impress me. The piano sounds a little way too familiar from one of your previous tracks but other than that, this is alright.

I don't know what exactly your goals are; however, I don't need to know. Just keep challenging yourself with a variety of skills (etc.) and carefully build your experience.

Keep it up.

Ravitex responds:

Will do m8!

This feels a lot more like normal dubstep until after the first drop (familiar.. so I mean in a good way and not to say generic).

Also, every new track keeps surpassing the previous track in orchestral quality. Keep that up.

What I love about this one is that it reminds me of Reverie and is very melodic and progresses really beautifully. Love where the orchestral carries the rest of the song after the first drop. I wasn't sure if you were going to have a second drop, haha.

I know you are still experimenting a bunch with orchestral dubstep. The orchestral has really improved significantly since you started (this song officially has my favourite orchestral from you). The second drop could have been a little more different from the first. Since it is quite long (like Earthsplitter), you probably could have changed it more since it builds up so long for that moment.

Regardless, continue striving for more powerful and epic mixes. You are heading in the right direction. Make sure you keep challenging yourself too.

Lastly, I want to say that I like finding out what you name your new tracks because your new titles always tends to be quite unique.

My new alias is False South (Formerly ChaelMusic). Experimenting with the many possibilities of electronic music.
