This is pretty awesome, and there isn't much wrong with it.

I think the build up lead was an octave low but it sounds good in the drop.

Seems alright. But there are things you really need to look out for...

Cons: At 1:04, the pitch for the lead is way too different than the original melody. The bass doesn't seem to match either. Then the next lead arrives that sounds like the original melody but it collides with the lead in the drop (with the wrong pitch that I just mentioned). That problem comes up at the end though too.

Pros: The song has pretty good form overall, but make sure everything blends in and has the same pitches and that the drop is similar to the melody (but don't make it exactly the same). I like the melody and yeah that snare is pretty sick :)

Keep it up! (Don't get too upset about the rating, I think you will get better)

You are right that the melody is repetitive but the drop totally makes up for it! I guess the song is a little long but the last drop tho :)
Everyone has certain times where they are repetitive but whatever you show improvement so I don't care.

Check out Selection by The Noisy Freaks. That's also a long song but somehow it worked better because it wasn't as repetitive.

You gotta watch out for when the pitches don't blend.... It is so obvious. That is a major problem with this remix. Remixing I find is much easier because I know what is gonna come next. I never even use midis. The hard part is making the remix your own. This remix needed more backing instruments. I had the same problem with my first remix.

Don't give up, but make sure you don't make that mistake again.
