This is primarily how I like my orchestral; Inspired and real. The overall composition is just wonderful.

Keep up the fantastic work!

ChronoNomad responds:

Many thanks, Chael! I shall indeed. Your review is appreciated, and I'm happy to hear that you enjoy the music.

I honestly thought I reviewed this in the past. Well, now I can give it a review. Best of luck with NGADM btw.

It has your familiar chords which I like because it helps me remember that it is your song. I am glad to hear your experiment with so many genres recently. For a track like this, stronger chords might be required (with a nice deep sub layered under them), so keep practicing chord design. You will be very satisfied when you make a really good set of chord patches.

This track has quite a unique vibe. The sound design (growls) and mixing needs work. I can't lie to you about that. A primary example is that the drums can punch a little more. You can achieve that using regular side-chain methods or doing the audio automations yourself (easier and more efficient). Keep practicing with these aspects and listen carefully for details that could be improved in your next mix or composition after you complete projects and look back on them.

There is no doubt that you have been improving a whole lot, so don't stop! Keep up the great work!

Gravidi responds:

Hey man, thanks for the review. I'll keep these mixing ideas in mind for my next track, specifically what you said about the drums. I'll also try some new stuff with the chords. Seriously, thanks for you thoughts! :)

It's excellent that you are sticking to a general style of yours now. You are improving tremendously. Sounds are on point and the track is just well done overall. Most transitions are spot on and this is just an enjoyable track. There's a very fitting tempo change up towards the end too.

So keep it up!

DJ-Zyzyx responds:

Thanks so much Chael!!! :D

Literally everyone starting out makes their hats way too loud. Everyone falls victim to it, including me when I started. The drop is pretty weak and odd lol (but the drop could potentially pass as a decent one if each technical aspect was done much better; which is probably what F-777 enjoyed about it).

Too much reverb was used within the drop and the mix could be much better.

The piano is alright I guess, but this just isn't a very well rounded project. There isn't really much personality or any outstanding aspects of the project. I think 2 stars is quite appropriate for these reasons.

Work towards a stronger and cleaner mix within your future projects.

Good luck :)

MkalluxMusic responds:

Yeah I'm making a V2 which will probably come out next week.

An impressive mix of styles you have been working with. I find the atmosphere very intriguing.

The entire Sidereal EP is quite brilliant and maintains your signature atmospheric vibe.

Keep up the amazing work, Detious!

DetiousMusic responds:

I really tried to make each track unique to my style! I have a version that I haven't released where I blend all 5 tracks together for a nonstop mix but I haven't decided to upload it yet. :P But one of my goals was to make each track transition into the next seamlessly.

And I'll try! Thanks a lot :)

I love your mid tempo stuff <3 This is super punchy and chill. I wouldn't mind if you continued experimenting with this style.

Happy anniversary! Keep up the amazing work for year 3 and beyond!!!

KamillasRainbow responds:

Thank you! Definitly gonna do more like this in the future :D

I love your music, don't get me wrong.

The thing is that I didn't really enjoy this completely for several reasons:

#1 - Some of the "electro" sounds are just too random or seem to serve little purpose for the mix. If you used one or two solid leads of yours (you have tons of good ones) and some stronger sounds (that don't contribute to the main melody) in between, it would be more effective. The lead at 1:04 is really nice.

#2 - The vocal shouts are just bland and kind of lame. I know you need some form of vocals to bring out the best in a track, but these ones don't do the track any justice.

#3 - The mix just doesn't seem as excellent as some of your previous tracks.

An example of this is that some of the background FX just seems to be too loud. Risers/downlifters overpower some important aspects of the piece (especially the kicks and snares).

You are pretty damn good at electro/trance composition, and it shows in all of your work; however, this just doesn't seem like one of your best pieces. Nevertheless, keep up the awesome work. You are an excellent artist, who will definitely continue to improve over time.

DJStriden responds:

I had fun making this song. I like all the comments.

This would be easily a 5 had the mix been better. I think there is a chance that too many effects were used.

I would have to see the project for myself, but the composition is lovely. Keep it up!

L-Mity responds:

Thanks always!

There is no reason for the initial side chain until the kick arrives. I would rather hear the plucks play out in full until the kicks and snares arrive. The lead could be a little stronger, and the pitch bend is a little much. Try to make the slide notes a little more subtle.

Did you make the plucks in Serum? I hear a little sound design error (this little kick like sound in the plucks). Try to solve that for next time.

The chords in the drop are not too powerful/appropriate, but the sound design is pretty good otherwise in the drop. I don't think the dubstep drop lead really works in this track.

Was surprised with the guitar's arrival. Pretty sweet. I felt like there was no need for the Lowpass automation of it in the build.

There are certain song structure and mix choices that I don't understand, but that doesn't mean it's a bad track.

The main melody is fantastic. The mix needs a little work and the song's structure could be improved. Keep up the wubs, Krassen!

Krassen responds:

Nifty

Why does it get so quiet around halfway?

Overall, this sounds like you guys have just started recently. The dubstep sounds are too weak.

Look into some synths that you can practice designing sounds with and slowly work on accomplishing a stronger mix. This isn't too bad, but it lacks in song structure.

Keep practicing!

CodeNameX07 responds:

Listening to it now, it does sound pretty bad. You are right about us just starting, however. Thanks for leaving a constructive review and leaving advice on how to improve.
