Seems alright;

Are you gonna continue it?

Dalux responds:

Most likely not :P

So cluttered but it is decently funny.

I see why Waterflame made a no vocal version; good choice m8

Keep it up

I think the intro may be a little plain, and the song lacks the extra percussion that makes Drum N Bass special. The song will need more substance; keep in mind that Drum N Bass can be difficult sometimes.

The build up is not bad, but it needs more percussion to make it more suspenseful (like the rest of the song in general). Use crashes and impacts as well.

The mixing is not great either; however, I think you should focus on sound design; try to make some risers like you said and experiment with them.

In the end, it is all about differentiating yourself from everyone else with your music and being proud of what you produce. Keep practicing and you will see a significant difference ;)

Progressive Trance n Bass seems to work btw

Hallow responds:

There will be quite a bit more percussion - as you can tell, I haven't even added hats yet :P
I'm planning on adding some snares to the build, and a crash somewhere would probably work well too.
Haven't got to mixing yet as it's nowhere near done. There's not too much point in mixing much until everything's in there that will be in there.
I think that this track is already quite substantially different from most DnB songs considering the trance gate. xD
I'll be working on it more this afternoon, so there may even be another WIP in store.......

FLIP CLIP ><

I see you are practicing more riddim. I think it is getting slowly better ;)

I just find that it doesn't really go with the original song but it is fine

Delcherro responds:

Then I accomplished :3 I tried to flip this track as much as possible, so I knew it would be flipped if I put it at a different genre and key, D flat in this case. Thanks for feedback!

I think having the song in the background may be a copyright concern; however, the cover is alright. The only problem is that since it is just a literal piano cover, there is nothing that special about it besides being accurate.

PianoAndGames88 responds:

I don't know, I have a channel where I upload all this covers made in FL Studio, with the original song in the background and the artists don't have problem. I'm uploading all the covers in Newgrounds because my subs requested :)

I saw your post.. Instead of making a desperate thread, here is what I recommend you do (I did the following when I started out):

Review a lot of other artists' tracks; especially if they are around your level but they have made it into the audio portal somehow. If they like your comment and you subtly find a way to convey to them that you are an artist, they will most likely check your tracks out and potentially scout you.

About your track here: The intro is too plain and I have no idea if the dubstep sounds were an attempt of sound design or you used some kind of presets; however, either way it is not really that powerful and is rather random. You should practice mixing too. It is basically using a mixer in your Digital Audio Workstation in order to make every sound blend perfectly (look it up if you don't know how to do it). There is also "mastering", but you have time to learn about it later ;)

Also, never use complete silence in a track because it really sounds unprofessional when it occurs in the middle of a song. It needs to sound like it is transitioning and not restarting.

Some of the melodies are decent and I hope those weren't midis that were from someone else lol (I only say this because I don't know how you made this).

You can't really call this dubstep, as it is more of a misc. song or drum & bass. I had trouble with identifying genres at the beginning too, don't worry.

One last thing, the way you title your tracks is kind of annoying. I am sure you were trying to be original, but in my opinion the "_ _ _ _ _ _" looks too strange.

Don't take this too personally. It is not worth it, trust me. I have gone through terrible reviews; however, they were in fact reasonable. I hope you can think about this and see how you can improve rather than dwelling on what can be better :D

Also don't rush. Make plenty of tracks but always try something new. For now, I recommend you finish and upload almost every track you make that is decent in your opinion (unless you feel unhappy with it). That way, you can find out how to make your songs sound better. There will be a point in time where you will focus on quality more, but leave that for when you have more practice. I mean A LOT more practice.

I have been making music for like 2/3 of a year, so I believe you will see how fast you improve. Be patient and kind to yourself as a producer.

Good luck,

-Chael Music (Send me a track if you ever want a review; I have no problem with that)

This sounds really awesome; I am glad you worked further on this :)

This sounds way too good not to be recreated

Troisnyx responds:

I'm glad. : ) I hope that eventually, I can clear some of the files on that recovered hard drive, like this one.

At least you started to try riddim, I need to make some more sounds lol

Delcherro responds:

8) XD

Solid orchestral :D

It develops really effectively.

Keep up the awesome music!

LunyAlex responds:

Thank you!

Well done :)

Style is different but you are pretty good at it

EnNinja responds:

thanks m8 :)
